Blackburn Says She’ll Resurrect Old-School Punishment After Botched Execution
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) called for Tennessee to bring back the electric chair for capital punishment after the botched lethal injection of notorious murderer Christa Pike. Pike was convicted in 1996 for brutally killing and defacing the body of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer.
